Mannewe stopped by on his way home to Poland from Italy, where he was involved in some chorus competition..

In Gorizia to be precise...

There was only one computer (and my laptop) so we engaged in "hot-seat-chatting" on DC

Mannewe picked up a tasty watermelon, and told of horrific prices in italy..

Watermelons are the thing when it's as hot as it was.

And believe me, it as _hot_.

happysnail wanted to take pictures too...
So I took a picture of her taking a picture ;)

thanks to the time delay option on my camera, and my tripod, I captured this image of all three of us chatting..
funny story;
when I sat back down, mannewe turned to me and said "what did you do?"
just as I replied "timed photo" the blitz went off.
Happysnail thought that was mean of me :P

Argh, now this one is just as how i think about myself - all blurred. :P

Then we think to ourselves; why not draw a pattern on the carpet?

then I decide the curtains look nice in the dark and capture these two images... (illuminated by a street light)

then we decide to make a suitable pattern, and after a little discussion decide to go with the kanji for fire "hi"
(I first suggested the kanji for black "kuro")

the kitchen stove (first time I've really used a gas oven)

I didn't have any shorts when I came to Budapest, so I used my black jeans... that was VERY hot...
so, one day, me and happysnail went out to buy me some shorts (I bought two)
and we stopped by this pizza shop close by... it had a pretty nice interior, and lots of pictures of boats (the owner must have thing for them)

they had these two huge screens showing old black and whit hungarian films outside the parliament.
the red cross were there (in case anyone got a heat stroke I guess)
and some small booths selling various things

a very cool statue... I had to wait a few minutes to get this shot, as three children (I think they were german tourists) were climbing all over it.

on the way back from the park, we spotted this nike commercial when we got off the bus at the metro

Biggest church in Budapest... bad lighting

it just so happened a british chorus was singing in the church when we got there (happysnail pointed out that mannewe (who left some days earlier) sings in a chorus)

I was planning on making a panorama, but they were poorly matched, and too big to work with

This is the palace in Budapest, there was some kind of an concert going there.
I took a picture of this nice fountain

Statue park.

When communism fell in Hungary (it was peaceful, the communists were elected out) all the statues were moved to this sandy lot well outside Budapest...

I accidentally got off the bus one stop too late, and had to walk back a ways. it was hot as hell, and I'm not overly fit.
I did ok however... but I was very happy they sold ice cold beverages at the park
